Early Registration
Early Registration is an opportunity for Students With Children (SWC) to pre-select courses because we are aware of the additional commuting and scheduling issues students who are parents to young children, encounter. Coordinated by the Office of the Registrar, the Office of Transfer and Non-Traditional Students (OTNTS) is the primary liaison for Students With Children for early registration eligibility review and access.
For more information, students should contact their respective school's advising office for assistance or contact OTNTS directly at transfer@rutgers.edu. A review of eligible students is completed each Fall and Spring term. All students with early registration eligibility are strongly encouraged to schedule to meet with an advisor to ensure that selected courses meet prerequisite and graduation requirements. During early processing, overrides of stop points or prerequisite requirements cannot be done.
Note: Students should review and confirm that no existing holds (for example, academic, financial, parking, etc.) that may prevent registration. Students will need to contact the appropriate office for any hold(s) that may exist. Students will be unable to participate in early registration without first clearing any hold amount(s).
