At a large and vibrant campus like Rutgers-New Brunswick, resources are abundant. It is important to sometimes step back and contemplate your path forward. As you chart your undergraduate courses, you are encouraged to take advantage of the general academic advising and specialized academic support that Rutgers offers. Visit centers that offer guidance in coursework and careers as you move toward your graduation goals. Help is always given at Rutgers to those who ask for it.
RU-1st - First-generation, underrepresented, and low-income students can find advising, resources, and events to help navigate Rutgers.
Office of Student Access and Educational Equity - Students who are low-income, first generation, and/or historically underrepresented can find a broad range of services and support.
Office of Disability Services - Students who have a disability, temporary condition, or injury that may adversely affect their ability to participate fully in class may be eligible for certain services. Submit an inquiry form, learn about screenings and evaluations, or give us a call at 848-445-6800 to learn more.
Undergraduate Academic Affairs Learning Centers - Rutgers–New Brunswick’s four learning centers help you develop the skills and approaches to succeed in your coursework. Services include academic coaching, study groups, peer tutoring, skills workshops, final exam reviews, and technology-based learning programs.
Writing Centers - Rutgers’ writing centers provide tutoring for students enrolled in Writing Program classes. Tutors help students strengthen their reading and writing skills by asking them to practice under the supervision of a more experienced writer, who acts as a coach rather than an editor.
Students are tutored in the full range of expository writing:

- Advanced Research
- Business and Scientific Writing Course
Math and Science Learning Center - The Math and Science Learning Center provides formal and informal course support, course materials on reserve, a biology study room with microscopes, a computer lab, review sessions, and tutoring.

Academic Advising by School
School of Arts and Sciences - With advising centers on the four Rutgers-New Brunswick campuses, you're never far away from friendly, knowledgeable advice from an academic dean or staff member! Click here for locations.
School of Environmental and Biological Sciences - Throughout their matriculation at the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, students select courses and develop their academic program in close consultation with an academic adviser. During the first year, students are assigned to an academic adviser for first-year students. In all subsequent years, each student is advised by a faculty member in the student's selected program of study.

Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy - The Office of Academic Services provides academic advising to students in the first two pre-professional years of the PharmD program. The Office oversees services in areas such as orientation, registration, and scheduling of classes and provides information for prospective students on admissions and transfer policies. Rutgers School of Nursing - Undergraduate students receive course advisement from the Office of Student Services during advisement sessions. During this time, the undergraduate program coordinator, along with the Student Services staff, advise undergraduate students on course progression and assist in any technical issues associated with registration. Members of the faculty provide career and industry advisement to undergraduate nursing students. Students who wish to seek career and industry-specific advisement are matched with a faculty member upon request.
Mason Gross School of the Arts – The arts conservatory of Rutgers where students are part of an elite community of artists who study, teach, exhibit, and perform together can visit the click for service and advisement.
Rutgers Business School-New Brunswick – Undergraduate advisors provide RBS-NB students with tools, direction and appropriate referrals to assist them in meeting their education goals. Visit Academic Advising for student success.
School of Management and Labor Relations – Undergraduates can expand their opportunities and impact the world. Seek advice and direction in areas of Labor Studies and Employment Relations and Human Resource Management.
E. J. Bloustein School of Planning & Public Policy – Educating a select pool of students for both public and private sector careers, to name a few, reach out to your advisor for assistance.
